KITCHEN & BATH SYSTEMS
INTD 357 CAÑADA COLLEGE
This course has a technical focus on the different systems that support a kitchen or bath design. Students learn how to speak the language of residential construction through three units on construction systems such as foundations and framing, kitchen & bath equipment like cooktops and showerheads, and building systems including HVAC and electrical. The ultimate goal is for our designs to be both beautiful and functional.
INTD 357 is the first Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) Interior Design course at Cañada College and the first Interior Design course included in the California Community Colleges Open Educational Resources Initiative (OERI.) The published course includes a full set of video lectures for use in a flipped classroom or asynchonous learning modality.
